Today, we are proud to launch The Strathfield Good Food Guide online, a great resource to encourage residents to eat local  - and entice our neighbours to sample our culinary heritage.

Click on Food Guide on the menu bar, click on the chef's profiles, read their secrets and recipes - and marvel at the amazing array of cuisines just around the corner from your place.

Food glorious food? Strathfield has plenty of it!

We encourage you to give your reviews as you make your own food safari around town - whether it be Korean, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Middle Eastern  - or one of our fabulous cafes or pubs.

This initiative, partnered by Strathfield Council, is designed to give our fabulous food industry a boost - and a platform to present their skills to a wider audience.

Every registered restaurant is on our directory, many with maps and phone numbers.

As we go forward, we hope to encourage restaurants to offer deals and specials, put up their recipes, menus and talk about the food they produce.

Alongside the print version of the Strathfield Good Food Guide, out with week with The Scene newspaper, and the Food Festival, it represents a big investment in our future as a food capital.
