The homebush branch of the Bendigo Bank has a new team at the top, fresh finance from its franchise owners and a mission to embrace local business and the community.

The company also announced its first annual profit at its Annual General Meeting and, according to a company statement, continues to trade profitably on a monthly basis.

Strathfield man charged with stealing from brothel

A 29-year-old man has been charged for stealing an ATM from a Burwood brothel

A 29-year-old Strathfield man and a 32-year-old Brookvale man were caught trying steal and ATM from a brothel in Burwood.

Police responded to reports of the two men trying to shove the ATM into the back of a car at about 4am this morning.

Police allege they saw the two men trying to lift the ATM onto the back seat of a car and continued to push the ATM into the car.

The two men have each been charged with one count of aggravated break, enter and stealing from a company.
