McDonald College students win film award

Talented young film makers are the people's choice

Two students from McDonald College have won the people's choice award at the Mobile Screenfest International, the only film festival in Australia shot solely on mobile phones. Zach Austin and Zoe Sarine, both 10, were presented with their award last month.

Leo O'Donnell former Mayor and Councillor of Strathfield dies

The former Mayor and Councillor dies at the age of 88

Former Mayor and Councillor of Strathfield, Leo O’Donnell died at the age of 88 on April 7.

 

O’Donnell served as an Alderman for 20 years between 1980-2000 and was elected the Mayor of Strathfield in 1993 and 1994.

 

An active member of council activities at both a local and regional level, O’Donnell served as Chairman of Strathfield Council’s Planning, Building, Traffic and Works Committees.
