The Federal Government will be making Chinese medical practitioners get their English skills up to scratch

Chinese medical practitioners have until July to get their English language skills up to scratch.

The move by the Federal Government underscores the popularity of Chinese medical treatments and is a way to bring regulation to the industry.

The SES are calling for more help to raise money for Occupational, Health and Safety Equipment (OHS). To help raise funds, the SES will be in the Strathfield Town Square on June 18 to talk to residents and answer any questions as well frying up some snags at the Cooks River Fun Run on June 26.

Restaurant owner with a big heart

REGULAR diners at the Ta Fong restaurant on The Crescent, Flemington, have become used to the sight of a small cardboard charity box  – over the last nine months the Vietnamese eatery has collected some $4,600 in donations.

Restaurant owner Peter Quach has been painstakingly collecting money for the Red Kite Foundation which provides financial and emotional support to families affected by adolescent cancer.
